STORI – Samford Traditions & Oral History Recording Initiative

Bringing History to Life one Story at a Time

We collect stories.

Storytelling bridges generation gaps and unifies cultural divides. With over 47,000 Samford alumni and 5,000 current students who live, work, study, and serve all over the world, there are a lot of stories right here at our front door. They take us to the battlefields in France during World War II, the mission field in Nigeria, the Tiananmen Square uprisings in 1989.

STORI is committed to collecting, preserving, archiving and disseminating oral histories from the Samford community, the Birmingham area, and the state of Alabama.

Access our growing collection of oral histories available online here or above on the INTERVIEWS & PROJECTS tab.
